A harrowing tale set in the world of Arkham Horror
Looking forward to this series,most Mythos books are mostly one off(well everyone is devoured or goes insane
)so it will be great to see a story that will run through 3 books.
BUT-WHY DO "THEY" DO THIS
it's less than 2 weeks to Haloween! so this isn't going to make it in time.There seems to be some strange geometry at work that always lets a Mythos Game or book be announced just before Haloween but never be available by that date.

Has a release date been announced yet?
Just wanted to chime in. I to am looking forward to this series. I would have read a Mythos series any way, I think being based on the game has added an extra excitement for me. So when is coming soon?

Figuring some point mid to late first Q 2011 the way FFG seems to time their announcements/releases.

From what I can tell the book should hit store shelves just before Gears of War.
Humor aside (assuming my joke was accepted as an attempt at humor), I really look forward to these books. I hope they are written well and sell well if so.

When they revealed this book at Arkham Nights, they mentioned that it should be done by fall of 2011. Whether that's a conservative or liberal estimate one can only guess.
I'm really looking forward to this series of books too. I can't help wondering if the announcement of it's release might have been a bit premature, even for FFGs usual release timeline?

Yes a years lead in does seem a tad overkill,I wonder if they plan to release all 3 books at once & thus the time lag.

think of it as extending the mythos through out the year . you already have some horror on halloween , this makes halloween last longer .

I placed a pre-order for this with Amazon. The release date/shipping estimate is August 23rd.
I think we all know not to take these dates as engraved in stone, but it might give a slightly better picture of where we stand.
