Kill Squads

I have been playing my French Kill squads in a 150 point a side sewer game. I have used 2 kill squad units in my allied force. My german force is mostly standard grenadiers. Now my dice rolling may be bad but over 10 games I have lost both squads in either their first or second engagements. Is anyone finding the same situation or is this just bad luck?

i think just bad luck.  I've generated up to 24 kill dice a couple times and I've watched them take out Winter Child in a tournament.   Make good use of Assault and pick your targets carefully

They are strong, but still only three points and allies doesn't have damage resistance, which mean that if they got caught in the open, they will probably still die. So I think its mostly bad luck. I have only played one game with kill squad plus action jackson and they did pretty well. Action jackson can deal with armor while the kill squad deals with anything infantry.

This is pretty much the norm for almost any unit.  I've found that on the forums that the A3 units are alway's 'bigged' up on how good they are, but this in just not true.  Any A2 squad can take out an A3 unit with 1 sustained shot or cripple it if a normal shot.  To make the Kill Squads last longer and get to fire, you must have a hero to lead them.

agreed, not sure why all the hate on A2 squads…i still use them as the main bulk of my forces…  A3 units are like my "special forces"  do not LEAD with the A3 units or they will die :)

YEah good advice. I have had a tendency to let them lead the attack in the sewer games. BAd type A personality traits i guess.
