Have the original core set, what next?
Published on 13 August 2012 - 16:01:18

A newbie Dust Tactics player here. I managed to find the original core box and enjoy the game a lot. I was just wondering what would be the best way to expand the dust experience from here.

I would get a good deal on Cyclone, Seelowe and Zverograd so those would be financially much more interesting than Cerberus or the Revised Core set.

The 3D buildings are not really a selling point as I'm a wargamer and can easily build a 3D house/ruin of my own from scratch. What I'm more interested in is playing interesting scenarios with interesting campaign story if possible. Since DT won't probably see table too much I also don't wish to sink hundreds of euros on everything.

So the questions are:

1. Without any restrictions how would you expand the Dust Tactics Original Core Set?

2. Which is the best expansion (to expand the Original Core Set) out of Cyclone, Seelowe and Zverograd?

Thanks for your help!

If you're looking for cool scenarios, I'd recommend Seelowe.  It also has a pair of awesome heroes (although you'll want to pick up a couple squads to go with them - Gorillas for the Axis, and one of thely jump troops for the allies - Tank Busters or Grim Reapers.)

I'd also highly recommend getting command squads and spec ops to expand - they really change up the game a lot, and in a good way.

If you have the cash get a little bit of each. Its a great game with may possibilities.
