So i have been scanning the forums making sure i did not double post this or something, has there been any word or confirmation that there will be a way to not play one of the six chapters or am i going to have to make something up? My friends all want to play Imperial Fists, Ravenguard, White Scars and/or Salamanders. (Though they are all inferior to the DA)

I haven't seen a full list anywhere but it would make sense for them to include at least all 'original' chapters. ('Original' as in the surviving chapters of the loyalist Legions).

So I'm guessing that those chapters will probably be included as they for the backbone of the background.

The six chapters that will be included in the core rules, according to the Designer Diaries, are:

1. Ultramarines (1st founding)

2. Space Wolves (1st founding)

3. Blood Angels (1st founding)

4. Dark Angels (1st founding)

5. Black Templars (2nd founding, from Imperial Fists)

6. Storm Wardens (FFG Homebrew chapter)

However, Ross has also said that there will be rules in an upcoming supplement to make characters of any chapter or create your own.  We just don't know which supplement, or when to expect it.
