Newcomer's Deathwatch Question
Published on 25 June 2010 - 19:02:33

Hi and sorry if this is a repeat post for some, i did a forum search for any answers but couldn't find much...

Is this game played with miniatures and floor grids, sorta like a DnD with Warhammer minis, or is it more a traditional imagination-driven pen and paper game?

The rules look cool enough, and I have a Blood Angels army so was just wondering!  Thx

Love love love Warhammer 40,000

As any RPG out there it depends on your preference.  I've found all three games (Dark Heresy, Rogue Trader, and Deathwatch) to work both ways.  Last week while running the demo scenario I alternated between using minis and a grid/hex map, minis and a tape measure, and just open abstraction.

Really I think whatever suits your game, your players, and your style.  That being said however, there is a lot of great minis that work for these games.
