Just to make sure you are clicking in the right place, in Acrobat reader, next to each layer is a box with an 'eye' icon in it. You have to click that little checkbox to toggle on and off. Is that working?

Hmm…   I can't see anything that looks like an eye anywhere.   There's a list of layers (geography, tollhouses, etc.) which all have a yellow box next to them.   They're all ticked except for  'political lands'.   But un-ticking doesn't seem to change anything.

I just downloaded that map, wow amazing. It works very well with Foxit reader!

Thanks a lot for making such a map.

Cheers

@Angelic Despot: Are you using Acrobat Reader X? Try updating your reader to it. I just opened it in Reader X and it worked. The boxes should not be yellow, they should be white boxes. The ones visible (all but Political Lands) should have a little eye icon in them and the Political Lands should have nothing in it (showing it as not visible). Clicking either an open box or an eye should hide or show that layer.

Should look something like this: www.google.com/imgres

Pretty nice map. Very good details.

Couple of maps / areas you might like to check for even more details (altough your map looks really good):

- Sylvania. Which can be found from the "Nights Dark Masters" (WFRP2) or from the gitzmans map gallery (find Sylvania color there).

- For river details and also entire scale of the Empire see Andy Laws River Map "WFRP Companion" (WFRP2) or from the gitzmans map gallery (the empire 7 - River systems).

Welcome to grim and perilous Norsca (Kalevala Hammer -site).

Enter freely and of your own free will, and leave some of your happiness...

@jackdays: I used the Sylvania map from Nights Dark Masters as a reference point trying my best to meld that with older sources of Sylvania. It's kind of a hybrid map in some senses. Gitzman's map collection and his big map have been invaluable in creating this.

Thanks Rivenmoor; turns out that was the problem.   It's all good now!

Excellent! Also, for anyone that has the map and thought (as a GM or player): "I'd really like to see X on this map.", please offer the feedback.

So, a question about Reikland politics. The map breaks it down to the Grafs or so. Do we know how far the von Brunners hold lands? I'm basically trying to figure out who's in charge of Geissbach and Halheim on a local level.

Also, does anyone know a way to get the ruler tool to work on this? I'm running Adobe Reader 9 if that matters.

The unoffical Gathering Darkness campaign by "Mad" Alfred Nuñez Jr. has a write up of Halheim.

"Halheim The poor fishing and farming village of Halheim has 30 residents and is located along the River Haselnuss, a tributary of the River Teufel, and just off the Übersreik-Nuln Road.  Halheim is 8 miles from Übersreik, 10 miles from Messingen, 3 miles from Buchendorf, 28 miles from Streche, and 29 miles from Merretheim.  The village has a hall along the river where assemblies and religious celebrations take place.  Solveig Loewi is the village headswoman and priestess of Taal and Rhya.  "

No, I don't have a signature. It's not that I have nothing to say, I just don't have anything to say specifically to you at the moment. Sorry.
