I picked up the game today and I am going to be running a demo at my FLGS and I was wondering if anyone has ran a demo yet and had any tips. I've never given a demo of an RPG and I'm not sure exactly how to do it. I was thinking about running the adventure they put up on the site and do character creation.
I'm just a little bit worried since with the new systems that it might take awhile for the players to get it and when I haven't even ran it for my own group, it might just be a slow moving game.

I'll add to remind and reward players for roleplaying. It can be easy for players to get themselves too concentrated on the new stuff like cards. Remind them that roleplaying and describing actions gets rewarded ... then give them [W] Fortune die to a check for doing so. I found that makes the game more fun, and less "work" for the players.

If a player rolls his eyes at one of your decisions, feel free to describe a nurgling bursting out from his character's eyeball.
