Why are High Elf Cards Yellow???

see above. Is this a color that is typically associated with them? They seem to be white w/ blue mostly, like on the emblem... Or is it so the wingsof the emblem wouldnt get lost on a white background possibly? I hate the color yellow lol
A Dwarf & a High Elf walk into a bar. They start talking to the bartender about their lousy days at work. Next thing they know, 2 large men come over, pick up the Dwarf and throw him out. "What was that for?!" said the Elf. To which the bartender replied, "We don't serve miners here"

I'm pretty sure it's meant to be "gold" more than "yellow."

It's because high elves don't fight in the battlefield. They're too yellow.
