Got another one to add. Found this while cleaning out the closest in my dad's house over the weekend. The joint effort between Games Workshop & Milton Bradley made in (looking up on BGG...) 1992!!! it included:
Champions of Chaos, Chaos Warriors, Orcs, Goblins, Wolf Riders, Beastmean, Lord Knights, Imperial Knights, Archers, Men at Arms & Crossbowmen, Ogre Champion and ....THE MIGHTY CANNON!!! of course, i speak of:
BATTLE MASTERS!!!!
Just checked it out on BBG,
It looks like a game i would enjoy.
I am going to have to keep an eye on the internet for it.
Without Signature
(Battle Masters)
For something around $50 there were a TON of GW-made units that came with the game (by today's standards but even more so back then) in a HUGE box (at the time & now) with cards, a tower, enormous vinyl hex-mat, missions campaing book...probably dice lol. there was a decent amount of randomness in the game (as sold by milton bradley and sold at like kmart, marketed towards a more general population) so there werent too many opportunities to plan a long-term strategy successfully, but still fun nonetheless (e.g. the unpredictable but powerful mighty cannon & ogre champion). TBH i had just as much fun painting the guys up. I remember that there was an ad or order form in mine from GW and showed some of their minis - which really caught my imagination & excitement at 10 yrs old
A Dwarf & a High Elf walk into a bar. They start talking to the bartender about their lousy days at work. Next thing they know, 2 large men come over, pick up the Dwarf and throw him out. "What was that for?!" said the Elf. To which the bartender replied, "We don't serve miners here"
