What to buy next?
Published on 12 February 2013 - 12:29:04

We just picked up the Core Set and it's pretty fun!

I suppose the general answer to the question of what should we buy next lies in the realm of finding the battle packs for the factions that interest us; however it does look as though some of the packs and expansions introduce new bits/rules so maybe the question is more along the lines of:

1. what's the general order y'all think would be good purchases

2. is #1 colored by any dependencies between expansions and packs?

I also just recently picked the core set.  I have purchased  a few battle packs here and there also but I am looking forward to purchasing the first expansion Assault on Ulthuan above all else.  I am just a Dark Elf fan by nature I guess plus I have Dark Elf cards from the battle packs but not enough to put together a real playable deck.

That's a good point -

I think I'd be interested in trying out full decks of new factions before building any one out too much.  So that means I should probably get some dark elf and high elf lovin' too.  Rather - it means I should concentrate on Expansions instead of Packs I guess.

Your best bet is to probably pick up the deluxe expansions first…in order…to get the most out of your purchases. Then you can go to deckbox.org and check out individual cards and see what appeals to you. Buy those expansion packs next!

Thanks, that's a pretty bad-ass site.  (As an aside do you know if anyone did something similar for NetRunner?)

Not as good as deckbox, but it's ok: http://www.cardgamedb.com/index.php/netrunner/android-netrunner-deck-builder
