Hey Guys!
Last Wednesday the first ever GGs Burwood Call of Cthulhu league kicked off, and 7 intrepid investigators (or bad guy summoners, you be the judge) ventured into the mirky depths of the unknown to solve the mysteries of the world. After 4 rounds, Leslie La stood tall and undefeated, going 4-0. Brad, who learnt the game 3 minutes before the league kicked off, went 3-1 to finish second, with Alex and Jason going 2-1-1 to finish equal third. Standings below
Leslie 1 4 5
Brad 1 3 4
Alex 1 2.5 3.5
Jason 1 2.5 3.5
Daniel 1 2 3
Kieren 1 2 3
Eliza 1 1 2
It was a fun night. I went bad and still had a great time, its a cool game. We're playing again next Wednesday from 6.30pm. Its just $7 to play with weekly and overall prizes up for grabs. As Brad showed, its easy to learn, if you want to try cruise in, we'll give you a run through and lend you a deck.

Hey Investigators,
9 budding investigators swooped down on the dodgy museum last night to investigate strange going ons, and after 4 rounds of story solving first time player Jay went 3 wins and a draw to take out the night. Jay learnt the game 5 minutes before we started, and with a borrowed a deck from Jason crushed us! Another new player. Patrick, did great work to finish second (using a deck made up of Leslies spare cards) with Alex and Jason finishing equal third. STandings are below
Leslie 1 4 4 1 2 12
Alex 1 2.5 1 2 3 9.5
Jason 1 2.5 1 1 3 8.5
Daniel 1 2 1 2.5 6.5
Kieren 1 2 2 1 6
Eliza 1 1 2 1 5
Brad 1 3 4
Neil 3 1 4
Jay 3.5 3.5
Patrick 3 3
Leslie and Jason also got a bonus point each for bringing new players (Patrick and Jay respectively). We play each Wednesday night at 6.30pm, and its heaps of fun. Its just $7 to play, with that money going to weekly and overall league prizes, including weekly and overall lucky door prizes. GGs have restocks of core sets and deluxe next week, and Nationals is in 2 weekends time (Dec 9th). The prizes are at GGs Burwood now, they are sweet, next time you're in check them out!
Cheers

Jason 1 2.5 1 1 3 1 3 12.5
Alex 1 2.5 1 2 3 2 11.5
Kieren 1 2 2 1 2 8
Daniel 1 2 1 2.5 1 7.5
Neil 3 1 3 7
Eliza 1 1 2 1 1 6
Patrick 3 2 5
Brad 1 3 4
Jay 3.5 3.5
Nathan 3 3
Players drop their worst weeks result. We play each Wednesday at 6.30pm. Its just $7 to play with weekly and overall league prizes up for grabs, and more importantly, its a great game thats easy to get into.
If you'd like a demo, cruise in on Wednesday evening, someone will show you how to play, and even lend you a deck if you'd like to try your hand in the league.
And try to stay away from that thing that lives under the porch…
Cheers

Thanks!
I can't give you deck content, as we don't ask for lists (its a league after all, and we're a new community). However, if you join our FB page at https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/331511770271912/ most of the players check in there, if you ask nice they may obligde
Good luck

No special rules, except that we're using the core set story cards as not everyone has a copy of the 2011 ones from Shifting Sands. We play four rounds of one-on-one games each league night, scoring a point for each win. We've been getting a pretty decent turn out, too, and most nights we seem to have at least one more player joining in which has been great. Such a fun game!
