What kind of level is everyone at normally? I play regularly with friends, and have been playing for about six months.  I have never played in a tournament but this seems like a good time to start. I just want to make sure that there wouldn't be an issue with someone who may have to read quite a few cards being involved :-)

plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose

The level is usually fairly high and the standard of decks is certainly top tier however I temper this with the fact that most of our players are VERY good sports and prepared to 'go easy' on new players and those new to the pressure of tournaments.

I'm sure you will find this repeated by those who have attended in the past.  The events are a great way to get into the groove of organised play and the mood generally is great fun.

I hope we see you at the event  animado

It was a great day with a turnout of 27 players!

The finalists (after 5 rounds and a top 4) were John Platt and Chris 'Booch' Buckley whose decks had performed insanely well.  Platty actually went 5-0 up until his loss to Chris.

Hopefully Ardett and some of the attendees can add deck information.

Thank you all to those who came and to those who are up for the challenge we will be announcing our next event AFTER the Regionals have been revealed by FFG (so there is no clash).
