We now have the first prize in our possession.  The Valryan Steel Replica of NEEDLE complete with a signed letter of authenticity from George R.R. Martin himself.

Its a lovely item.  Balanced and just…wow.  Come and challenge us and take this home.

Note that ONLY a person aged 18+ can be considered as a recipient of this prize.  In the event that a person under 18 wins they must have a parent or guardian of suitable age on hand to claim the prize.  The sword will be considered under their responsability until the winner reaches 18.

What chapter packs will be legal for the event?

I want to make sure I'm not using any in decks when practicing.

At least Needle arrived before the event, unlike the regional kit!

Good question.  The distribution of Game of Thrones Chapter Packs is AWFUL and so we have to present players with a date rather than a pack.  Packs that are sent by Esdevium (UK distributor) by November 10th are legal.

Anything received or sent after that date will not be allowed.  This gives players plenty of time to incorporate cards into their decks.  Also note that any and all erratas up the 20th of November will be legal.  This gives time for any discovered game breaking cards/combos to be nulled. 

One last caveat, we reserve the right to apply a 'soft ban' on cards/combos that we find break the balance of the game.  We have only done this once before and soon after the cards in question were justly given an errata by FFG.  This should be considered something extreme and unlikely but we feel that players should be aware of it.

We are very excited about this event.  A few more prizes have been selected and are on their way to us which we think you will all covet.

So we are up to House of Black and White as of today's date. Considering I am after a card from that for my deck, I am pleased :)

Considering the trouble we have had with getting stuff to the UK, I won't hold my breath on A Roll of the Dice being released in time.

Is there anything likely to on the soft ban list from your or Ste at present, or because of the recent FAQ, there is no need?

Any hints on what the other prizes will be?

I shall be there with Lannisters as always, along with the others from Cov and the Welsh lads too.

Currently no reason to expect any 'in-house' changes.  Make sure to keep an eye on FFG's Erratas.

On a slightly unrelated note - will there be people from the Stoke Meta travelling to Stahleck?
