Players in the Midlands (UK)
Published on 08 August 2012 - 11:16:44

 Hi,

I'm a female player in the UK based in the Midlands. I've got the basic sets but need to expand, I'm hoping to meet other people who like playing the game enough to teach me the ropes of it and to get in some casual play.

I'm nearing the end of a Feast for Crows so I'm up to speed with most of the plot outlines, it'd be good to build a deck that follows what I already know. When I got the game a few months back I had no idea who some of the characters were, so it'd be really good to play again and hopefully pick up enough knowledge of the game to up the ante.

I'm willing to travel to meet with people who play.

I've heard that there's some games that go on in Sheffield which I could probably attend once a month, but ideally there would be somewhere a bit closer to home.

Hi Sadie! You're in luck: the West Midlands has probably the largest group of AGOT players in the UK. Guys that Game are based in Stoke on Trent and host regular tourneys of varying skill-level and support casual play as well. We also have a fair few players on the University of Warwick campus who do a lot of deck-building, deck-testing and casual play on a regular basis too. Where are you based?

I'm based in Burton on Trent, so I can travel more or less anywhere really.

I'm meant to be going to Sheffield on Wednesday, but thats nearly a 100 mile round trip for me, so if I could find somewhere closer that would be amazing.

I'm really new to the game, so I need to learn how the game works, but I've played MTG for the last 10 years competing at National level, so I think those kind of skills should help me with this as it appears to be somewhat similar.

Is there any game play planned for the coming week?

Thanks

Sadie

Is there any way of messaging people on here?
