What: Game of Thrones Regional Championship!

Turnout should be solid for our Game of Thrones Regional! Come on out to sunny (maybe) Rochester and play for fabulous prizes and bragging rights:

Prizes will include: 1st Place Championship Trophy, 2 Uncut Sheets from a recent Chapter Pack, 4 Queen of Dragons Playmats, Sets of Engraved Wooden House Cards, Double-sided 2012 Regionals House cards, Art Lithographs (Mellisandre, I think), and more based on attendance!

Format will be standard 1v1 Joust using the standard Banned/ Restricted List and most recent FAQ. Please note that the Valar Morghulis Chapter Pack cards WILL NOT be legal for this tournament, as per FFG's Regional rules.

The tournament will consist of 4 or 5 rounds with a top 4 or top 8 playoff (all based on attendance).

We'll see you on the 9th!

Is their gone be people going out for food / drinking after the tournament or is the crew more laid back in Rochester?

This being our first "big tournament" it's hard to say. I would probably say laid back, but who knows? There may be festivities. In any event, I'm glad to hear you're coming up (or down in this case).

Going to try and make it with one or two others…will most likely drive down the day of the event.

Looking forward to it.  Driving down from Ottawa with Darknoj but we are taking my truck Noj I am not sitting in that little car for 4 hours :P.  Do you guys want preregistration?  Long drive to get down there and not have room for 2 more

 No pre-registration is necessary, but I'll need decklists if you guys want to bring those with you. I figured I'd start the event at 12:00 instead of 10:00 to accommodate anyone traveling to get here.

Darknoj will have his typed up weeks in advance lol I will write it up the night before when I am sure of no more tweaks.  Looking forward to it.

Hopefully I'll see many new faces. I'll see you guys then!

Are you sticking with no Valar Morghulis Chapter pack? i hope so but wanted to check with the new FAQ update…

I wouldn't call DC "all the others".  Iowa one seems to be fine with Valar Morghulis being legal.

Humm good point BBSB12 I did not even consider lowa. I checked DC and the European event ,I know of and called it all events in my hast. I change my “all the other regional’s” statement to some of the other regionals that weekend.

A call either way would be great so I can know if I have to start a new deck or not. 
 

Man, it really frustrates me that FFG would decide to do this mid-season, but I digress.

In accordance with the Tournament Policy, the new Chapter Pack WILL be legal for this Regional. I will let everyone know as best I can through the forums and cardgamedb.com

Ok, now i just have to hope that the slow stores here get a pack in time. If not you guys will have some in stock i assume?

PS: Greatwhitenorth and I will still be coming down even if another player from my meta backed out now (the big cry baby) since he does not want to “build a new deck or figure out a new meta”.

Ok i talked to the stores here and none of them will have a pack by June 9th so any chance you would put a pack aside for me at your store? Which i could buy the day of the tournament. ;)

We should have plenty on hand. We have about 12 right now, and I can't see the rest selling before next weekend. If you can't get a hold of it, let me know and I can save some for you.
