Looking to start playing a game of thrones, I live in Liverpool but also work in Stockport. Was wondering if anyone else was playing in this region of the UK I could meet up with for a few games?

Cheers Keith

Heya.

I live in Manchester (Rusholme-Fallowfield-Withington area) and I'm itching to play against someone to whom I haven't introduced the game myself.

You ever head to the LGS in City Centre? I'd be happy to meet there for a game. Or, better, in a quiet-ish pub after work one day (that's not wednesday or friday).

Very late notice but the LGS in Manchester City Centre (Fanboy3, it's called) is hosting a free event tomorrow from noon focusing on LCGs and deckbuilding games. In their press statement, Game of Thrones is mentioned by name so I'm hoping to network for future sessions. They're celebrating the shops seventh birthday and apparently there will be cake (but that might be a lie).

So, once again:

04/09/11 12:00 at Fanboy3 (5 minutes walk from Piccadilly station).

Ach. Nobody really turned up so I roped a couple of D&D'ers into an introductory game before they started a session which was pretty fun. No challenge though and I FIEND for a challenge. I'm gonna print a recruitment flyer and post it in the shop with my contact details to try to find more players. The boss of the shop says it sells well so the players are clearly out there somewhere.

I can't work out how to PM in this forum so if you come into manchester for a game at Hardy's Well (easiest meeting point where we can get ale), drop a line in this thread a day in advance sayin what time you'll be there and I'll catch up with you (though it'll probably only be a joust)

If you can ever make it to Stoke on trent on:

Mondays from about 5ish

Fridays from about 5ish

and Sundays from about 12ish

there's a MASSIVE community of players here, I think the store has shifted 30 core sets recently to individual players and there's an average turn out of about 8-12 on any given day.

The store has also started to run monthly tournaments with funky AGoT playmats and the house tokens as prizes.

Store details:

there is no right or wrong... only fun and boring!

Mylo Will definatly have to meet up. You did message we once, replied but Ilike you don't really know how messaging on this fourum works. Is this the address of the pub you are talking about 257 Wimslow Road M14 5LN. Could meet you there best days for me would be Tuesday or Wednesday, but I think I might be to busy this week coming could do the following week. If you want to email me to discuss more my email address is k_owens18@yahoo.com. Cuts out this fourums messanger we both don't know how to work.

Regarding going to Stoke a bit far in the evening, might be willing to go one weekend, if you have a tournment or some organized play.

That is indeed the pub in question. The barmaid serves pints with a live parrot on her shoulder (it's wings aren't even clipped). I'll drop you an email soon and we'll meet up. Shame about this week as my old housemate is back in town and builds decks from my collection... Still, I'll keep you posted.
