Is there any OP in Canada anywhere at all ?

And how could I get it started in my area ?

Canada is a large country.  I am an hour out of Vancouver (Abbotsford).  Where are you at?

I'm located near Toronto ON, myself, but to my knowledge the tournament meta died when the LCG era started. I've kept up with the packs and have wanted to play again for a while, now, though.

I'm in Toronto. I would suggest we gather for a Sealed deck tournament or a draft in order to attract people, who are interested in game, but do not have a constructed deck (me).

I'm also in the TO area and I'd be down for some organized play.

Cheers.

Hey - sorry I missed your posts, guys, must've forgotten to check back before the thread left the first page.

TheDarkSun - to the best of my knowledge there is no way to draft or do sealed events with currently legal cards, is there? We might be able to do demos but that's about it for people without constructed decks. We could also find some fairly cheap packs from the pre-LCG sets to do a draft with, but I'm not sure that would attract people to the LCG era since those cards aren't legal nowadays.

Zsa - I would love to see some organized play come back to TO. Please emal me at alex_oshea (AT) hotmail (DOT) com and let me know what kind of availability you have. I'll see if I can russle up a few others who might be interested - let me know if you can do the same. That goes for anyone else reading this in TO of course.

I hope I haven't missed my window to get things started here. Fingers crossed.

I'm in the Montreal area and looking to setup a regular meeting group to play A Game of Thrones and other FFG LCG.

Anyone out there interested?

I am not, intrinsically, one of those people put in the world to make sense.  Despite this handicap, I persist in trying.

E-mail sent.

A notice to any other Torontonians, there's been sufficient interest that we're putting together a demo day / casual play event. Details will be on z3.invisionfree.com/GTA_TGA (AGoT, in the CCGs section) when we have a firm date but it will be at the Hairy Tarantula West location near Dundas and Keele on a weekend in the near future. Any questions, feel free to post 'em or e-mail me at the address I provided above.

Hey I am close enough to Toronto that I would come down for a games day. Please if there is still a community willing to play, let me know. My new direwolf deck hungers for players and having no players in my area sucks.

 Hey TO players,

On April 8-10, the University at Buffalo (in Buffalo, NY) hosts an annual gaming convention. I have been talking to some of the Rochester players that regularly meet-up about hosting a tournament at it. I attend university there but have little experience with AGoT tourneys, having just gotten into the game myself. Would you guys be interested? If so, shoot me an email at: vaux.saladin AT gmail.com and I'll try to get you guys in on the loop, so that we can host something awesome for those of us around this area. I know its a bit of a drive for you guys but it could start a regular occurrence.

I see that there are a few people here who want to find some others to battle it out with. I think the best thing we can do is exchange some emails and see if we can set up a meeting at a local card shop. Let me know your thoughts and hopefully we can get Toronto to be a more active place.

Okay, a fair number of people have expressed interest in reviving the scene here in Toronto in one way or another, so I figure it's time to centralize things so we can organize something firm. If you're near downtown Toronto and want  to play some Game of Thrones LCG, please join the A Game of Thrones Toronto facebook group. At the moment I'm attempting to figure out what days times and places most folks would want to play at, so please go to www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2978715544 and make your voice heard!

Please pass the word to anyone you think might be interested - hopefully we can get something planned in the near future!
