I am torn between Mutant Chronicles and War 40k and I was wondering were to start with this game. Help would be appreciated.

IT depends on how much money you want to sink in. 40k is a money pit, but a really fun game. On a more modest income this might be the way to go.
Here's a factor that might sway you: Mutant Chronicles isn't supported any longer, while Warhammer 40,000 is.

Calling MC unsupported is really not accurate Rabbit. They keep this forum up for rules questions, they offer free downloadable cards and terrain. Many games get cleared off the net completely. Our game group still plays MC here and there, and we utilize these resources.
40k evolves so fast and costs so much while this is EOL. Dust Tactics..... enough said
