Here are two new investigators I thought up. As always, any and all comments are welcome.

Cecilia's still missing a story, this will come later.

edit: for some reason, picturies didn't work right so you'll have to follow the links (I hate these forums).

You have to use the "Insert/Edit Image" Button and Photobuckets HTML Code hyperlink to get the pictures to work.

I did, but the forum always cut off part of the image on the right side, I don't know why.

The Custom GOO I posted is hosted at www.radikal.ru, which seems to work fine here.

While the site is in Russian, the browse button is in English, and the blue button under it and to the left is the upload button. You then just plug the standard weblink into the "Insert/Edit Image" URL field.

And potentially the cut-off problem may be that your images are too wide for what the forum wants to format. Try exporting at a reduced size, or as seperate images for front and back.

Let me see if I have any better luck.  You are going to have to break Roosevelt into 2 seperate images.

Cecilia: Question.  The +1 additional Movement would be netted with -1 movement for those weather environments that reduce movement, right? (I see the Ley Line card already negates that).  I'd say she would be balanced though stronger than average.  Boy would I be wanting Urban Environments, although they are all helpful. The picture is a bit modern for my tastes however.  I like my astrolgers in robes and hats. I'd be happy to play her.

Roosevelt: Is this guy crazy? Die trying? 3 Sanity?  I like the picture, but isn't the gun a little small? I'm glad to see a character with the elephant gun, but he has only 3 shots.  He really, really is a skillful shooter 6 fight + elephant gun+doubles on sixes! Personally I don't like special abilities that use resources.  I'd use this guy but he'd frustrate me.  I'd always be running out of bullets (money).  Plus he's only good for one big game hunt per turn at most.  Would a Credit Rating be too good?  He's very good at what he does.

@ dkw: Thanks; I actually tried what you did and had the same problem (part of Roosevelt's text missing). When I broke him down in to two pictures, part of the right side was still missing. Thorgrim is probably right and the size of the images is too large, as they are the same I use for printing them (at 150 dpi). I'll try 96 dpi next time.

Of course the movement bonus will be changed by reduced movement from the environment (which is not negated by Ley Line Map, by the way. The item only negates penalties to Skill checks). I actually am afraid she might be too weak or at least too unreliable. I also found the picture to be a bit modern, but I couldn't find a better one (although robes and hats would be a bit out of style for the 1920s, wouldn't it?). You're welcome to point me to any picture you think could fit and I'll consider it.

Like other characters with high Fight scores (Mark, Michael), the low sanity prevents him from being the perfect monster hunter. It's necessary for game balance. I actually tested an older version of him already, that had a Rifle instead of the Elephant Gun (before KH came out), and he worked fine without being to strong. I don't know if the Elephant Gan changes a lot here. Note that his ability is not limited to the Elephant Gun, so if you gain another weapon, the money problem is less of an issue. A Credit Rating is definitely out of the question. I also think Clues would be more of a limiting factor here, but the ability has to cost something or it would be too good.

By the way, I am almost sure you couldn't refresh the Elephant Gun with Credit Rating each turn. All cards refresh simultaneously, so at the time the Gun must be refreshed, the Rating is still exhausted and when it has refreshed, the opportunity for the Gun to refresh has passed.

I was working from memory.

Apparently you and the designers think that. I think 3 sanity is way too weak and makes a very frustrating investigator.  I think I see a strengthening of investigators as the new ones come out.  I've added a variant to most of my fighters with 3 sanity into 4/6s and give players that option.  They are still balanced according to Strange Eons and a lot more fun to play.

Really?  I always assumed they were made for each other.

In cases of when events/abilities/effects/etc. happen at the same time, the player decides which order they happen in, Page 23 of the Arkham Horror Rule Book.

Morgain, it is odd, as I don't have any problems when I uploaded my pictures of Heralds and Guardian, and I had it set the same way with your Investigators, 800 x 600 image size.

“The nethermost caverns,” wrote the mad Arab, “are not for the fathoming of eyes that see; for their marvels are strange and terrific. Cursed the ground where dead thoughts live new and oddly bodied, and evil the mind that is held by no head. Wisely did Ibn Schacabao say, that happy is the tomb where no wizard hath lain, and happy the town at night whose wizards are all ashes. For it is of old rumour that the soul of the devil-bought hastes not from his charnel clay, but fats and instructs the very worm that gnaws; till out of corruption horrid life springs, and the dull scavengers of earth wax crafty to vex it and swell monstrous to plague it. Great holes secretly are digged where earth’s pores ought to suffice, and things have learnt to walk that ought to crawl.”

I have no idea why the picture is not showing up or why it it's all tiny in the upper left corner and why the backside is normal size.

When using the "Insert/Edit Image" function, just put in the bare web address, not the html code. And as we learned earlier on, this idiot forum doesn't like extra-wide images, so when exporting in Strange Eons, click on the "I will specify custom settings" button, then deselect the "Combine Front and Back sides" checkbox. Then post the front and back as seperate images (if you even need to post the back).

Took me longer to try and figure out how to post this guy than it did to make him.

Tried to make a character based on myself.

Thinking maybe there is a better way to word my ability but basically I can pay Sanity for extra dice when making a skill check. So I could drive myself insane.
