Playing a miniatures game is a very personal experience for any player.  Whether it's spending hours painting one figure, working away diligently to create the greatest army, or simply labeling one of your guys "Greg", miniature gaming is a devoted passion.

Miniature games come in all different varieties.  Some miniature games require a ruler to determine movement and range combat values, while others rely on a hex/space based system to determine the gameplay.  Each type has it's own play style.  One relies on eye-balling your strategy and introduces doubt into your foresight, while the other gives you exact means of measuring and leaves no room for error.

Another aspect of miniature gaming is the strategic depth the lies therein.  Playing a miniatures game requires constant restructuring of your forces.  Unlike in board games where the pieces are already provided for you, as a minis gamer, customizing your forces is paramount if you hope to have a chance on the battlegrounds.   So what kind of a miniature gamer are you?

Pre-Painted

You enjoy playing with miniatures, but you don't have the time required to make your miniatures look gorgeous.  You enjoy the casual gaming atmosphere and enjoy having the ability to pop the miniature out of the box, place it on the table, and instantly march it off into no-mans-land.

Unpainted

You are a meticulous miniature gamer that has an absolute passion for precise beauty.  You enjoy putting your own interpretation of color schemes, applying subtle coloring effects, or just simply take great joy in painting.  You take minis gaming very seriously and you constantly have gaming strategy on your mind.
